Congratulations - you're looking to get married, how exciting.
As an independent registered celebrant, for nearly 6 wonderful years I’ve been either marrying couples or helping people say goodbye to loved ones. Now it’s time to reduce my celebrant services by providing marriage or civil union ceremonies only only at my home.
Please note: I don't travel to other locations.

I’m delighted to be able to offer four (4) types of ceremonies, all at my home in the peaceful Ohariu Valley countryside – 6 km out from Johnsonville.
​
Marriage is a very special once in a lifetime (usually) moment. I highly recommend one of my three “bundled personalised ceremony packages” where the costs include me as your celebrant and the use of my home in a beautiful country location as your wedding venue.

1. However, for those who just want to get legally married (or united) without any fuss I’m authorised to officiate a Registry or Civil Union ceremony. The fee is $90 set by BDM and takes less than 20 minutes in total from the time booked for your ceremony, including saying the Vows and signing the papers with your two witnesses. There is a 30 minute on site time limit so don't be late, we can't wait for stragglers.

2. The first of my ‘personalised’ ceremonies is a "No Frills, Short & Sweet” ceremony and venue – my fee starts at $550. This may be the perfect solution for couples wanting all the essentials in a short yet sweet ceremony within the one (1) hour time limit on site. I have created two set scripts to choose from (yes, they include saying ‘I Do”) and are a little similar to a registry ceremony but has more options such as being able to have music playing, hire a photographer and get married any day of the week, including public holidays. Then you and your family and friends leave to perhaps go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

3. My "Petite & Uniquely You" ceremony starts at $895 and is perfect for those wanting a more meaningful ceremony where you two are the stars. Together we'll create a script that shares your love story, you get to say, "I Do", walk down the aisle, have a bridal party, and time for photos and a quick BYO toast with your guests all withing the two (2) time limit on site. And yes, you can have music playing, hire a photographer, you may want to capture cutting your BYO wedding cake and you can get married any day of the week, including public holidays. Then you and your family and friends leave to perhaps go somewhere else for lunch or dinner, ideal for an elopement. You will have plenty of time after your short ceremony to enjoy a glass of BYO bubbles for a toast, have a few photos taken, and while your photographer is here, perhaps capturing you cutting your BYO wedding cake, before you all leave to go somewhere else for lunch or dinner. No food is permitted on site, except your wedding cake. Then you and your family and friends leave to perhaps go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

4. And best of all I offer couples a "Traditional & Celebratory" ceremony starting at $1,200 which captures the essence of you both with all the features of a traditional wedding ceremony. Together we’ll create a loving script which can include readings or a prayer or anything else you may want to include to share or involve with family and friends. You will have more time three (3) hours on site, enabling you and your guests to enjoy a little "BYO celebration after" including a BYO canapes, and BYO drinks for a toast with your guests. And while your photographer is here, perhaps capturing you cutting your BYO wedding cake, before you all leave to go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

With either of these three personalised ceremonies you can get married any day of the week, including public holidays. My hours for personalised ceremonies vary depending on the package you choose but are between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm subject to my availability. You may invite from 20 to 30 guests, again depending on the package chosen.

These packages, my celebrant services and a wedding location, is something unique I offer couples to help keep your costs down and the day relaxed while still having that "intimate wedding experience" with family and friends. But please note, this is my home, not a wedding venue so please respect this and arrive on time and leave on time!​​

All ceremonies are held at my home in the peaceful Ohariu Valley, Wellington (6km out from Johnsonville) as I don't travel to other location. My Gallery page has some lovely photos of what you can expect.​
