Ingrid Saxton :  Marriage Celebrant

SORRY, BUT I'M NOT AVAILABLE FOR ANY WEDDING CEREMONIES
1 APRIL - 31 MAY 2025

Congratulations - you're looking to get married, how exciting.

After nearly 6 wonderful years of marrying couples and/or helping people say goodbye to loved ones, I've reduced my celebrant services and now only provide either a Registry or Civil Union ceremony or one of my three Personalised ceremonies here at my home in the countryside.

A Registry or Civil Union ceremony is $90, the fee is set by BDM and takes less than 20 minutes in total from the time booked for your ceremony, including saying the vows and signing the papers with your two witnesses.  Yes, it's short and simple and at the end of the ceremony you're legally married.  You and your two witnesses must be on site 10 minutes prior to your requested ceremony start time as you're allocated 30 minutes in total for your ceremony and if time permits, a few photos after.  My hours for a Registry ceremony are Monday to Friday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.

But, hey, it's your wedding day - it's a once in a lifetime moment, so make it special. I highly recommend one of my three bundled personalised ceremony packages - a celebrant and a lovely private country location to get married.

First option is my "No Frills" personalised ceremony at $190 and could be the perfect solution for couples looking for something similar to a registry ceremony, ideal for an elopement.  It includes a few more options such as you get to say "I Do", have a bridal party, walk down the aisle, music playing, hire a photographer and get married any day of the week, including public holidays.  You will have enough time (1 hour maximum on site) for a few photos.  No food or drink is to be brought on site.  Then you and your family and friends leave to perhaps go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

My "Petite" personalised ceremony is from $500 and perfect those wanting something short, sweet and meaningful, ideal for an elopement.  I include  more personalised elements, such as a script created about you two.  You also get to say "I Do", walk down the aisle, have a bridal party, and hire a professional photographer.  You will have enough time (1 hour on site) after your short ceremony to enjoy a glass of BYO bubbles for a quick toast, have a few photos taken, and while your photographer is here, perhaps capturing you cutting your BYO wedding cake, before you all leave to go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.  No food is permitted on site, except a wedding cake.

And best of all I offer couples my "Celebratory" personalised ceremony for $750 which includes a more detailed script created all about you two and shares a little more of your love story with your guests. You will have more time (2 hours on site) enabling you and your guests to enjoy a little "BYO celebration after" including a BYO canapes, and BYO drinks for a toast with your guests . And while your photographer is here, perhaps capturing you cutting your BYO wedding cake, before you all leave to go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

With either of these three Personalised ceremonies you can get married any day of the week, including public holidays, my hours for personalised ceremonies are between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm subject to my availability.  You may invite up to 20 guests, have music playing, hire a professional photographer, 'walk down the aisle' and you get to say "I Do".

It's a great way to keep cost down and the day simple while still having that "intimate wedding experience" with family and friends. But please note, this is my home, not a wedding venue so please respect this and arrive on time and leave on time!

All ceremonies are held here at my home in Ohariu Valley, Wellington (6km out from Johnsonville) as I don't travel to other location. My Gallery page has some lovely photos of what you can expect.

If you want to know more, or to book my services please contact me via email or call or text me first to see if I'm available on your preferred date.  I will then send you one of my 'contract for celebrant services' for you both to consider as it provides you with all the details.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Warmest wishes

Stunning views, beautiful vows and a perfect day. Ingrid was so lovely in accommodating our family, and was prompt and easy to reach with changes and details. We had our ceremony at her gorgeous home that provided the perfect backdrop for some forever photos. It was a such a pleasure working with you Ingrid, and if any one of us gets married again we'll have to track you down.

Ingrid was the celebrant for our wedding of around 100 people this year (Sep 2022). We knew when we met Ingrid that she was going to be great, however Ingrid exceeded our expectations. Ingrid went above and beyond for us to make sure our special day was as smooth as possible. Ingrid was so easy to get in contact with and really got to know us as a couple to ensure our ceremony was extra special. We can not thank you enough, and our guests are still commenting on how lovely our ceremony was. Highly recommended.

..... Ingrid's passion and patience for wanting to reflect and incorporate 'us' in our service was wonderful and she guided us through the whole process - including fool proof instructions for applying for our marriage license!  She accommodated our requests and captured our love for each other so well.  Her warmth towards love and marriage is infectious and regardless of our simplified wedding day we felt on top of the world - and that is not just because we were stood on a cliff top!  The service that Ingrid wrote for us was perfect, creating smiles, tears, love and time for reflection as she delivered it without fault on the day. We cannot thank her enough for all her effort, time and kindness as she kept us company on our journey to being announced husband and wife. We recommend Ingrid wholeheartedly.

I would recommend Ingrid Saxton to anyone looking for a celebrant.  She also acted as Master of Ceremonies at our wedding, a role she carried out with considerable grace and humour.

Funeral:  Thank you Ingrid for your kindness, patience, willingness to make changes, guidance, gentleness, we would've been lost without you  You're a lovely lady and even though it was because of a sad time our paths crossed, I want you to know it was such a pleasure to meet you.

Thank you so much for your help in preparing and leading Mum's Memorial Service today.  Our families truly appreciate your care, compassion and professionalism which has made a difficult time easier than it might otherwise have been.
