Congratulations - you're looking to get married, how exciting.
I'm a trained and certified independent celebrant with over six years experience, having trained with the Celebrant School.
I'd love to work with you to create something special for your wedding day and offer couples a country wedding ceremony at my home in the peaceful Ohariu Valley countryside. I'm only 6 km from Johnsonville, heading towards Makara. My services range from $180 - $1100 - see my "Marriage Celebrant Packages" page for more details.

Below is a brief outline of my four “bundled personalised marriage ceremony packages” where the costs include me as your celebrant and the use of my home in a beautiful country location as your wedding venue. It is your responsibility to apply your marriage licence and please check if I'm available before you apply.

​​​ 1. LEGALLY MARRIED: If you just want to get legally married without any fuss then this could be your best option for you. I've created a lovely short set script, based along the lines of the Registry ceremony script, but including a few more 'loving' words. You get to say your Vows, exchange rings and sign the papers with your two witnesses. Done and dusted, knot tied and you're legally married in less than 40 minutes on site.

2. NO FRILLS, SHORT & SWEET. This may be the perfect solution for couples wanting the essentials in a short and sweet ceremony within a one (1) hour time limit on site. I have created a set script that includes saying ‘I Do” and is similar to the above, but you have a few more options such as being able to have music playing, hire a photographer and get married any day of the week, including public holidays. Then you and your family and friends leave to go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

3. PETITE & UNIQUELY YOU. This is one of my most popular ceremonies for those wanting a more meaningful personalised ceremony. It includes us together creating a script that shares your love story, you get to say, "I Do", walk down the aisle, have a bridal party, and time for photos and a quick BYO toast with your guests all withing the two (2) hour time limit on site. You may have music playing, hire a photographer, you may want to capture cutting your BYO wedding cake and you can get married any day of the week, including public holidays. No food is permitted on site, except your BYO wedding cake. Then you and your family and friends leave to perhaps go somewhere else for lunch or dinner, ideal for an elopement.

4. TRADITIONAL & CELEBRATORY. This ceremony captures the full essence of you both with all the features of a traditional wedding ceremony. Together we’ll create a loving script which can include readings or a prayer or anything else you may want to include to share or involve with family and friends. You'll be able to relax as you can stay on site for three (3) hours. This enables you and your guests to enjoy a little "BYO celebration after" including BYO canapes and BYO drinks for a toast with your guests. And while your photographer is here, perhaps capturing you cutting your BYO wedding cake, before you all leave to go somewhere else for lunch or dinner.

THE SMALL PRINT
If you choose me as your celebrant, and I've confirmed I'm available on your preferred date, I will send you my 'Contract for Celebrant Services" for your particular ceremony. This details all the points we've discussed and you fill it in with confirmed date and times, sign it and return it to me along with your 50% non-refundable deposit.

It is your responsibility to apply for your marriage licence through Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) and ensure I receive copies of the 'Notice of Particulars of Marriage" which we all sign on the day.
​
With ceremonies 2, 3 or 4 above, you may get married any day of the week, including public holidays. My hours of business for your ceremony varies depending on the package you choose but are usually between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm subject to my availability. You may invite up to a maximum of 30 guests, again depending on the package chosen.

This is something unique I offer to couples to help keep your costs down and the day relaxed while still having that "intimate wedding experience" with family and friends. This is my home, not a wedding venue therefore I have a limit on numbers so you're comfortable inside too in case the weather outside is wild, wet and windy.
